DIVAS Live in Manila

DIVAS Live in Manila was the first concert held by the girl group DIVAS, composed of Kyla, Angeline Quinto, KZ Tandingan and Yeng Constantino as part of the first DIVAS tour. It was held at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on November 11, 2016. This concert is under the musical direction of Ria Villenia-Osorio and the stage direction of Paul Alexei Basinillo.

Origin

The concert was first teased by Cornerstone through a photoshoot on April 11, 2016. On the evening of April 26, 2016, a teaser was posted on Cornerstone Entertainment Inc.'s social media accounts. On April 27, 2016, a presscon was announced, and it was revealed Kyla, Angeline Quinto, KZ Tandingan, Rachelle Ann Go and Yeng Constantino would be headlining the concert entitled DIVAS Live in Manila, and it was scheduled to be on November 11, 2016 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Tickets were originally announced to be released on August 2016, but was delayed to September 2016, due to Rachelle Ann Go's questionable status, which ended up with her leaving the group.

Rachelle Ann Go's departure

On September 1, 2016, it was announced through social media by Cornerstone Entertainment Inc. that Rachelle Ann Go left the group due to a major project. No one replaced Go, and the concert just pushed through with Kyla, Angeline Quinto, KZ Tandingan, and Yeng Constantino as the girl group's members.

Concert Reveal

The official poster was released on September 2, 2016, just after Go left the group, and tickets were released on September 3, 2016.

On September 21, 2016, the special guests of the concert were revealed, and it was revealed that Jaya and K Brosas would be guesting in the concert.

On October 12, 2016, Regine Velasquez was revealed to be the third special guest in the concert.

Guestings

The first guesting of the concert were several Umagang Kay Ganda promotional guestings in September 2016.

In early October 2016, DIVAS (except Angeline Quinto, who was abroad for a concert tour with Erik Santos) guested on the radio stations EnergyFM 106.3, Wish 107.5, Mellow 94.7 and Magic 89.9.

Also, on October 2016, they guested on Cinema One News.

On October 2016, the day before their presscon they taped their Gandang Gabi Vice episode with a hashtag of #GGVDivas.

In late October 2016, DIVAS made an appearance on Banana Sundae.

On November 5, 2016, DIVAS performed on It's Showtime, performing a medley of Rolling in the Deep by Adele along with Ain't No Mountain High Enough.

In early November 2016, the group had two separate guesting on Tonight with Boy Abunda.

The concert began with the four singing Destiny’s Child’s “Survivor”, Beyoncé's “Formation” and Destiny's Child's “Independent Women (Part 1)” but after that, it was solo numbers for awhile. Angeline filled the venue with her rendition of Arianna Grande’s “Break Free.” She was followed by Yeng who took on Rihanna’s “Work.” As for Kyla and KZ, they kicked off with Meghan Trainor’s “All About The Bass” and Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” respectively.

Solo Parts

Later in the concert, KZ Tandingan sang an emotional rendition of her hit "Mahal Ko o Mahal Ako", then later did a rendition of Gloc 9's "Sumayaw Ka". Later on, Yeng Constantino did a jazzy rendition of Bon Jovi’s 1986 hit “You Give Love A Bad Name”. Then later on, Constantino sang her original songs "Jeepney Love Story", "Hawak Kamay" and "Ikaw". Kyla then sang her revivals "On the Wings of Love" and "Til I Met You", which she interpreted for the JaDine teleseryes of the same titles. Angeline Quinto later performed Luther Vandross' "The Impossible Dream" and Wency Cornejo's “Hanggang”.

Duet parts

Later on in the concert, KZ Tandingan and Yeng Constantino performed a duet of Nina Simone's "Feeling Good". Meanwhile, Angeline Quinto and Kyla performed Elaine Paige and Barbara Dickson's “I Know Him So Well".

K Brosas' guesting

K Brosas appeared on the concert midway as a special guest. DIVAS had a skit with K Brosas, then performed Rico J. Puno's hit "May Bukas Pa".

Jaya's guesting

Jaya appeared on the DIVAS' concert as a special guest. Together with DIVAS, Jaya performed a Tina Turner medley, which included "Proud Mary" and "Rolling in the River".

Regine Velasquez-Alcasid's guesting

In the final prod of the concert, DIVAS began the prod with Regine Velasquez-Alcasid's song "Shine". Then DIVAS' members performed duets with Regine Velasquez-Alcasid. KZ Tandingan performed a duet of “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw”, while Yeng Constantino performed “Pangako”. Then, Angeline Quinto performed “Dadalhin”, and Kyla performed “Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka”.

Finale

The finale of the concert started with each DIVAS member performing each of their other member's songs. KZ Tandingan sang Kyla's hit “Hanggang Ngayon”. Kyla performed Yeng Constantino's hit “Lapit”. Yeng Constantino performed Angeline Quinto's song “Kunin Mo Na Ang Lahat Sa Akin”. and Angeline Quinto sang KZ Tandingan's “Wag Ka Nang Umiyak”, themesong of the teleserye FPJ's Ang Probinsyano. Then, the DIVAS members performed their respective winning pieces, "Don't You Remember You Told Me You Loved Me (Superstar)" for KZ Tandingan, " I Am Changing" for Kyla, "Patuloy Ang Pangarap" for Angeline Quinto, and the concert ended with Yeng Constantino performing her hit single "Salamat".
